About Me
Hi, my name is Brennan Koshykowski. I'm 20 years old and have been playing music for 16 years. I started out on piano and picked up guitar, bass, and drums throughout my teenage years. I am very passionate about music, and my goal as a teacher is to help students find their own passion as well! I have several years of teaching experience, and am open to teaching students of all ages and skill levels. Additionally, I have experience with composition and live performance in many musical genres, a strong understanding of western music theory, and a strong grasp of technique on the instruments I play.
My Approach
Growing up taking piano lessons, things like music theory and technical exercises often felt like a chore. I just wanted to play music.However, as I've grown older and my passion for music has grown, I find myself actively interested in these things. When I hear something in a song I like that sounds interesting, I often go out of my way to learn exactly what was done. When I want to learn a new technique, I find myself practicing the same exercise to a metronome for as long as an hour.This inner desire to learn and improve, born out of passion for music, is the ultimate goal for any student I teach.
